About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Access Control in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The officer will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location by managing entry points, verifying authorized access, monitoring activity, and responding to security-related concerns. The role requires maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, and helping deter incidents while supporting smooth operations. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain required access records.
Control entry and exit activity at employee entrances, vehicle gates, trailer yards, and loading areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business perimeter, access points, parking areas, and loading or shipping zones, to help deter unauthorized activity.
