About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Specialist in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and support access control activities. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor access points and observe resident and visitor traffic, helping to support property rules, visitor procedures, and authorized access practices.
Communicate with residents, guests, and/or local responders as needed while maintaining awareness of conditions at the location and following post orders.
