As a Security Officer Patrol and Access Control in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor, vendor, and/or contractor access as directed by site policies, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
- Support daily operations by observing workplace conditions, reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy concerns, and assisting with orderly response during operational disruptions.
