As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Gastonia, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic automotive location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at an automotive location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, gates, and/or reception areas, document visitor and delivery activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive observation and consistent application of post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, noting unusual conditions, reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns, and supporting site policies throughout the location.
- Assist with traffic and vehicle control at entry points, communicate clearly with drivers and site personnel, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required records related to daily operations.
