About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
COLA: DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and/or MMR vaccinations are required.
A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access control points by checking identification, authorizations, and/or visitor credentials before permitting entry to designated areas.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policies, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observed activity through required reports and logs.
Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, controlled areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
