About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security-related policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity at assigned access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs, contractor check-in records, and other required documentation related to access control activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
