About The Position
As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong customer service. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Monitor entrances, exits, loading areas, and/or other designated access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and support authorized movement throughout the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarm activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront perimeters, and/or parking areas, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Assist with visitor management, directional support, and policy enforcement while maintaining awareness of security-related issues and providing professional communication with the public.
