About The Position

America's Auto Auction is hiring a part-time Security Guard to help maintain the security of its auction lot in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The guard monitors the premises, receives and documents incoming vehicles, and helps ensure a safe environment for customers, employees, and inventory. The role provides professional, customer-focused service while enforcing site security procedures. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 21 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
Good customer service skills.
Ability to work from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol the property for extended periods.
Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to respond quickly to security incidents and safely navigate active lot operations.
Occasional ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, including cones, signs, barriers, and equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in security operations, law enforcement, loss prevention, the military, or a related security area.
Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
Receive and log incoming vehicles.
Check and verify each vehicle’s stock number, VIN, color, and model before release.
Ensure release documents have the appropriate signatures and approvals.
Patrol the premises and look for anything out of the ordinary.
Ensure the facility remains locked.
Keep the guard shack clean and orderly.
Work independently and as a team player.
Communicate operational issues to management promptly.
Perform other duties as necessary.
