About The Position

As a Security Guard in Appleton, Wisconsin, you will help safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location. This unarmed patrol role involves maintaining a visible security presence, conducting routine patrols, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, reporting observations, and supporting a welcoming environment. The position is part-time and scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.25 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any state or local licensing requirements that apply; a license may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols through business areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related hazards to appropriate site contacts.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation according to company and site-specific requirements.
