About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Guard to monitor security systems and help protect people and property at a site in Pismo Beach, California. The position is scheduled for 10 hours per week: Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The hourly wage is $19. A uniform is provided at no cost. Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training can be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have good eyesight and the ability to maintain focus.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents in detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
