About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard for a part-time enhanced role at an assigned site in Miami, Florida. The position provides a designated weekly shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Additional hours may offer the opportunity to build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The role involves armed security patrols and customer service at public transportation locations. Pay is $27.01 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday, 4:30 a.m.–2:45 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Officer, or Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, follow established protocols, and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, and observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations using required procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and company and site-specific policies.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
