About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard Enhanced Armed Patrol Driver for an assigned site in Houston, Texas. The role provides a fixed weekly shift serving as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, allowing hours to vary and potentially build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The scheduled shift is Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour. The position involves customer service, armed patrols, monitoring activity and access points, responding to incidents, and reporting security concerns. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law, and must participate in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security experience.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow established protocols, and contact appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer, employee, and delivery activity for unusual conditions, policy violations, or potential loss-prevention concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
