About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed security guard for patrol readiness at a government facility in Atlanta, Georgia. The position has a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $21.75 per hour. The scheduled shift is Monday, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government facility while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or public service agencies when required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and records.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
