About The Position

As a part-time unarmed site patrol Security Guard in Suffolk, Virginia, you will safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role is part of Allied Universal’s team-oriented workplace, where employees may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

The listed schedule is Monday and Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to applicable state and local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and help maintain an orderly environment.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs.
• Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
