About The Position

The Security Guard maintains a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, performers, vendors, and contractors at The Paramount Baltimore. The role provides crowd management, access control, emergency response, and general security services during events and non-event days, while delivering excellent customer service and complying with venue policies. The position pays $22.50 per hour and is part-time. It will remain open until December 31, 2026.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One year of related security guard experience.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with two-way radios.
Teamwork-oriented, positive attitude, and ability to welcome guests.

Responsibilities

Conduct rounds inside and outside the facility, observing and responding to irregularities such as prowlers, fires, potential causes of fire, or other potential causes of property loss or damage.
Involve safety, fire, and city patrol officials as warranted, prepare associated reports, and involve others as the situation merits.
Monitor the fire panel for the complex at all times.
During events, direct and control patron flow, answer questions, provide directions, and respond to situations requiring support or intervention.
Ensure facility and grounds lights are set as necessary and facility doors and property gates are properly secured.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
