About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for security screening at a logistics and distribution location in Carol Stream, Illinois. The role supports a secure environment by screening individuals and items, monitoring access points, reporting security-related concerns, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents. The officer also provides professional customer service and clear communication. The position pays $19.04 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM; Friday, 3:00 AM–11:00 AM; and Saturday, 4:00 AM–11:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen individuals, packages, and authorized property entering and leaving the distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and in a problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
