About The Position

Brown & Root Industrial Services is hiring a Security Guard for a long-term maintenance assignment. The position works rotating 12-hour shifts, alternating between 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, on the same shift schedule as DuPont. Candidates must pass a pre-employment physical. The Security Guard monitors the front gate and surrounding area, handles visitor check-in and deliveries, and monitors the parking lot and truck gate. The role includes issuing badges, verifying visitor orientation and escort requirements, showing visitors a safety video, and checking vehicles entering and leaving the truck gate. Vehicle searches may be performed when required; the site also reserves the right to search vehicles. Brown & Root Industrial Services is an equal opportunity employer. Pass a pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

Monitor the front gate entrance and immediate area and answer incoming calls.
Check in visitors according to client procedures.
Issue badges, check orientation cards for current site status, and use a computer spreadsheet to verify whether visitors require an escort.
Check in and receive deliveries and notify the on-site contact as soon as possible.
Monitor the parking lot using cameras and visual observation to ensure vehicles are parked properly.
Show visitors a safety video.
Check vehicles entering and leaving the truck gate and conduct vehicle searches when required.
