About The Position

In-N-Out Burger is hiring a full-time armed Security Guard to help maintain the safety and security of its Baldwin Park, California facility and grounds. The role includes monitoring the facility, greeting and screening visitors, conducting patrols and surveillance, responding to emergencies, and securing the property after business hours. The Security Guard is expected to provide friendly, professional customer service and work well with others. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. The employee must be flexible to work day, swing, and overnight shifts, and must be available on weekends and holidays. The pay range is $27.16–$31.25 per hour; final pay depends on experience and other job-related factors.

Requirements

Valid California Driver’s License.
Valid Guard Card.
California State Firearm Permit (Exposed Firearm Permit).
Security guard experience.
Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
Strong communication skills.
Reliability and ability to work without constant direct supervision.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
Physical ability to capture and detain individuals if necessary.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk monitoring surveillance equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Flexibility to work day, swing, and overnight shifts.
Weekend and holiday availability.

Prior military or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain the safety and security of the Baldwin Park facility and grounds.
Operate the lobby, conduct foot patrols, monitor cameras, and understand the alarm system and emergency procedures.
Serve as a receptionist and greeter for facility visitors.
Screen and log visitors entering and exiting the complex.
Conduct routine surveillance and security patrols, and carry out protocol and contingency operations.
Contact law enforcement or the fire department in an emergency.
Check doors and windows after business hours to ensure the property is secure.
Investigate reports of suspicious activity on the property.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain friendliness and professionalism.
Use good judgment in handling day-to-day operations.
Perform duties with pride and work cooperatively in a team environment.
