About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard for a reception and access-control role at a retail location in Mira Loma, California. The position focuses on maintaining a welcoming and secure environment by managing access points, verifying badges and credentials, monitoring entry activity, assisting visitors and team members, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role provides customer service while following site-specific security procedures and policies, and may involve emergency response activities. The scheduled hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law. Licensing requirements vary according to applicable state and local rules and may need to be met before employment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access for employees, vendors, deliveries, and contractors according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of retail areas, receiving areas, entrances, exits, and the property perimeter to identify unauthorized access and unusual activity.
