About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Armed Patrol in Orangeburg, South Carolina, to support a healthcare location. The officer safeguards patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding professionally to incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. The schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, coordinating with hospital personnel and first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access-control procedures, and directions.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities according to site procedures.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
