About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard Armed Patrol in Memphis, Tennessee, to serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare setting. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The officer provides customer service, communicates professionally, and responds to security concerns with integrity.

The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 3:45 PM to 12:15 AM. The pay rate is $20.50 per hour. The position includes access to a shift-claiming platform, paid training, career growth opportunities, a retirement savings plan, and discounts through the company’s Perks Program.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Possession of handcuffs, pepper spray, and a baton is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and clinicians while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations professionally and calmly, following site-specific procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas and verify credentials as required.
• Report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
