About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard Armed Patrol to serve and safeguard clients at a government facility in Atlanta, Georgia. The officer will conduct routine and random armed patrols, monitor assigned areas, help deter incidents, assist with access control, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and public officials. The role includes responding to security concerns and emergencies with integrity, maintaining a visible presence, and providing dependable service and teamwork.

The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.75 per hour. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. The role also requires participation in industry-specific security training programs.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and public officials by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor facility access, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and security concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual occurrences while maintaining a professional presence.
