Security Guard - Patrol Routes
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Routes in Minooka, Illinois, to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. The unarmed patrol officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The role requires exceptional customer service, clear communication, and reporting security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity and teamwork. This is a full-time position paying $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is 3:00 PM–11:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
- Hold a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including the interior, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and trailer staging areas.
- Monitor access points and help control entry and exit for employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and commercial vehicles according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and complete required reports.
- Observe and report unusual activity, damaged property, access-control concerns, and other security-related conditions to appropriate site contacts.
