About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in University Park, Illinois. The role involves driving and walking unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to concerns, and providing customer service and communication. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.75 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary according to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle and foot patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document entries, incidents, and observations in required reports.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed, and follow established response protocols.
Maintain a professional presence that supports a positive environment in a fast-paced technology, media, and telecommunications workplace.
