About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol officer for a retail location in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard customers and employees by maintaining a visible presence, conducting regular and random patrols, monitoring store activity and access points, and reporting unusual behavior or conditions. The role involves active foot traffic and customer service, clear communication with store management and staff, and documenting patrols, observations, and incidents. Officers respond calmly and professionally to customer concerns and critical situations and follow site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate. The scheduled shifts are Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.96 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Monitor store foot traffic, activity, and access points to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior.
Report suspicious behavior, incidents, unusual activity, and conditions to appropriate management personnel.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Communicate relevant security information clearly and professionally to store staff, site management, and Allied Universal leadership.
