About The Position

As a part-time unarmed security officer at a luxury retail location in Rosemont, Illinois, you will help safeguard the site and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees. The role includes routine patrols, a visible security presence, customer service, professional communication, and accurate reporting. Scheduling is Friday and Saturday, 12:00 PM–5:00 PM. The position pays $21.48 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; escalate matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and customer and visitor activity for unusual conditions; report observations and potential policy violations to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and according to company and site requirements.
