About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across industries, including healthcare, education, and finance. Officers use a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on availability, gaining experience at various sites. The role may involve irregular shifts with little or no advance notice. The position pays $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• A valid driver's license is required if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Must be at least 18 years old, or older where required by state law; 21 years old if armed.
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, informatively, and accurately.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess situations, identify critical issues quickly, and evaluate them effectively.
• Ability to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
• Security licensing may be required before employment depending on state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire departments in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn people who violate rules, such as by loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized people to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to help prevent theft of company property and ensure removals meet client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.
