About The Position

As a part-time Security Guard and Patrol Driver at a retail shopping center in San Antonio, Texas, you will help safeguard the property and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff. The role includes routine and random unarmed patrols, including driving patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide customer service, respond professionally to incidents and disturbances, monitor activity and access points, and report security-related concerns. The stated schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
Report suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Complete required activity reports and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership, property representatives, and local authorities as appropriate.
