About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard for an assigned driving-post site in Naperville, Illinois. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at a designated site, with a six-month commitment to that anchor schedule. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, potentially increasing their hours up to 40 per week while retaining the option to scale back. The role serves a technology, media, and telecommunications location and involves site-specific security procedures, patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and reporting. The listed pay rate is $18.54 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and report access concerns or suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs documenting observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.
