About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer to monitor security systems and identify threats before they escalate. The role is based in Long Beach, California, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week on the morning shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The hourly wage is $24.20. DailyPay is available to GardaWorld employees. A uniform is provided at no cost.

The Surveillance Security Guard monitors security systems, records and reports incidents, responds to potential threats, patrols premises, controls access to secure areas, and helps protect people and property. The position may involve working in environments such as security operations centers, call centers, or parking gatehouses.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• A state security license (BSIS Guard Card).
• Additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Strong report-writing skills.
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure premises are safe.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
