About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Tempe, Arizona. The role helps safeguard the site by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and helping deter security-related incidents. The Security Guard provides professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

This is a full-time position scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries; verify credentials and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate observations and notifications to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure locations; document unusual activity and maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
