About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard for a distribution center. The role serves and safeguards clients, carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The listed pay rate is $19.24 per hour. Applicants must have all training certificates and an active California Guard Card. Days are available Monday through Sunday, with morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts available.

Requirements

• Must have all required training certificates and an active California Guard Card.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and by participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
