About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients in settings that may include commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role involves providing customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, responding to emergencies and incidents, and conducting regular and random patrols of the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

The position pays $19.24 per hour. Available workdays are Monday through Sunday, and shifts are available in the morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight. Applicants must have all required training certificates and an active California Guard Card.

Requirements

• Have all required training certificates and an active California Guard Card.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
