About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Aurora, Illinois, you will help safeguard the client and support a welcoming environment through reliable service, teamwork, integrity, and customer-focused communication. The role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to alarms, and helping deter security-related incidents. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

State-, county-, or city-issued security license.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Alarm panel experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and security policy violations according to site procedures.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
Communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
