About The Position

Parkwest Casino is hiring a Security Guard to help provide a safe environment for the casino, its employees, and guests. The role requires keen observation skills, an understanding of basic card room games, and a high level of customer service when assisting guests from varied backgrounds and with different personalities. Guards must be able to operate surveillance systems and prepare accurate, detailed reports. The position also involves counting chips accurately and working any shift, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Open availability; must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must possess a valid California Guard Card.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge, or license.
Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the United States.
Must pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background check, and credit check.
Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory weighing up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and bend at the neck for six or more hours a day.
Must be able to perform repetitive hand movements throughout the shift, including simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
