About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol driver at a residential community in Irvine, California, the Security Guard helps safeguard residents, guests, staff, and property. The role involves conducting vehicle and foot patrols, monitoring access points, responding to security-related concerns, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. The officer provides customer service and communicates clearly while supporting a welcoming environment.

The position is scheduled for overnight shifts from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The pay rate is $22.25 per hour.

Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license, as required for driving positions and in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badges.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle and foot patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, amenity spaces, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, property concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence throughout the community.
