About The Position

Fresh Mark is accepting applications for Security Guards at its Canton, Ohio facility. The successful candidate will be vigilant and hardworking, protecting company property and staff while maintaining a safe and secure environment. The role pays $16.00 per hour and requires availability to work any shift, including assigned weekends and holidays. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Requirements

Great interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with visitors.
Ability to de-escalate situations.
Valid Ohio driver's license with no restrictions.
Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Great physical strength and agility.
Keen observational skills to notice suspicious activity.
Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
Availability to work any shift and assigned weekends and holidays.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

Patrol industrial premises to prevent and detect intrusion and to check the security of doors, windows, and gates.
Apprehend trespassers and remove people who violate rules or create disturbances.
Protect company property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
Monitor and authorize the entry and departure of employees, visitors, and other people to prevent theft and maintain premises security.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, including damage, theft, unauthorized persons, and unusual occurrences.
Contact emergency services in situations such as fires or the presence of unauthorized people.
Answer telephone calls during non-business hours, take messages, answer questions, and provide information.
Conduct random checks of individuals and prevent prohibited articles from entering or leaving restricted areas.
Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure they operate properly and to detect tampering.
Authorize and check in trucks, and check trucks leaving the premises.
Transport employees as needed.
