About The Position

Fresh Mark is accepting applications for Security Guards at its facility in Canton, Ohio. The successful candidate will be vigilant and hardworking. The role is responsible for protecting company property and staff, maintaining a safe and secure environment, monitoring access to the premises, responding to alarms and disturbances, and carrying out security and related transportation duties. The position pays $16.00 per hour. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Requirements

Great interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with visitors.
Ability to de-escalate situations.
Valid Ohio driver's license with no restrictions.
Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Great physical strength and agility.
Keen and observant eye to ensure suspicious activity does not go unnoticed.
Ability to act with integrity and in a professional manner.
Availability to work any shift.
Must be able to work assigned weekends and holidays.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

Patrol industrial premises to prevent and detect intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
Apprehend trespassers and remove people who violate rules or create disturbances.
Protect company property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other people to guard against theft and maintain premises security.
Write reports on daily activities and irregularities, including equipment or property damage, theft, unauthorized people, and unusual occurrences.
Contact emergency services in cases such as fire or the presence of unauthorized people.
Answer telephone calls during non-business hours to take messages, answer questions, and provide information.
Conduct random checks of individuals and prevent prohibited articles from passing into or out of restricted areas.
Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and detect evidence of tampering.
Authorize and check in trucks, and check trucks leaving the premises.
Transport employees as needed.
