About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Guard for a part-time enhanced position at an assigned site in Williamsburg, Virginia. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The schedule listed is Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, and the pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Additional shifts may allow employees to vary their hours, with the possibility of building up to 40 hours per week and scaling back when needed.

The Security Guard provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and preparing reports. Applicants are subject to applicable background investigation and drug-screen requirements. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout hotel and resort facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and help deter unauthorized access or prohibited activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
