About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Guard to patrol and monitor a corporate financial institution in New York, NY. The role involves helping safeguard employees, visitors, and clients by maintaining a visible presence, supporting a welcoming environment, providing customer service, communicating clearly, and documenting security-related activity using technology. The posted schedule is 8:00 AM–4:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Pay is $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials according to site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
Promptly report security concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
