About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard to provide unarmed patrol and security support at a corporate building serving the technology, media, and telecommunications industry in New York, NY. The role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and reporting security concerns. The Security Guard provides professional customer service to employees and visitors and helps maintain a welcoming environment. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, perimeter, entrances, parking areas, and common areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established procedures and documenting actions taken.
Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff information according to company and site requirements.
