Security Guard Armed Perimeter Patrol - Corporate Building
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard Armed Perimeter Patrol in Brooklyn, New York, to support a public transportation location. The role serves and safeguards passengers, visitors, personnel, and the client by conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring public areas and access points, and responding professionally to incidents. The officer follows site-specific procedures and policies, documents patrols and incidents, and coordinates with transit personnel and emergency responders when needed. The role requires a concealed carry weapons permit and a law enforcement officer license. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $32.70–$33.70 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following applicable procedures and coordinating with transit personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, surrounding perimeters, and other assigned areas.
- Monitor access points and public areas for suspicious activity, unauthorized entry, and potential hazards, and report observations through established channels.
- Maintain reports, logs, and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and security activities.
