About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Security Guard to help maintain a safe and secure environment at a hospitality property. The role includes patrolling the property inside and out, checking doors and stairwells, responding to complaints and calls for help, monitoring security systems, assisting guests, and completing an end-of-shift report. The position is described as overnight security. The role requires at least two years of security experience and a high school education; post-high-school education and peace officer training are preferred. The hiring process may include interviews, a drug screen, background and reference checks, and a potential employment assessment.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a security role.
• At least a high school education.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Authoritative verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.

Nice To Haves

• Post-high-school education preferred.
• Peace officer training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property, inside and out, during all shifts.
• Check doors and stairwells to make sure they are secure.
• Respond to complaints and calls for help.
• Purchase, maintain, and monitor security cameras and alarm systems.
• Escort unruly patrons and loiterers from the property.
• Assist with securing a taxi for inebriated guests.
• Complete a report at the end of the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
