About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by monitoring premises and patrolling assigned locations. The role preserves order by enforcing site regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and the property, and may provide customer service and information to client employees and customers. This is a part-time, weekends-only position scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 2000 to 0800, with a wage of $21.50 per hour. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, sometimes for long periods; the work may involve climbing stairs and walking on inclines and uneven terrain.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine security patrols and tours throughout the building property.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other systems.
• Control access to the building and verify employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports accurately.
• Observe and report activities and incidents at the assigned client site.
• Help provide for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Preserve order by enforcing regulations and directives for the client site.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
