Security Officer - Overnight

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Plainfield, Indiana. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by conducting patrols, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and providing customer service. The role is scheduled overnight on Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and pays $17.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements if required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of workplace interiors, exterior areas, parking locations, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and entry procedures in accordance with site policies, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following escalation and reporting protocols.
Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership, and support a professional environment for occupants.
