About The Position

As an unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, conducting routine rounds, and communicating professionally with personnel and visitors. The role involves carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities; monitoring access; responding to incidents; and documenting observations. The position is full-time, with a stated pay rate of $23.85 per hour and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and other assigned locations to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and document and report observations through required channels.
Maintain detailed activity logs and communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
