About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a location in Poway. The officer will safeguard clients and provide security services across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role involves following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. The advertised pay rate is $29 per hour, with weekly and daily pay options available.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
Have an active California guard card.
Participate in industry-specific security and safety training programs.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
