Tact Tech Security Guard
About The Position
The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and property at Tact Tech Security Solutions. The role involves enforcing safety procedures, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and preventing illegal or inappropriate activity. The ideal candidate is disciplined and vigilant, demonstrates sound judgment, remains calm under pressure, and upholds high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service in a dynamic security environment. The position requires providing security services according to site-specific policies and emergency protocols, monitoring and patrolling premises, verifying residents and guests seeking access, and responding to emergencies. It also includes courteous interaction with clients, guests, and employees, along with preparing timely incident reports and maintaining records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
- Hold a valid Security Guard D License.
- Hold a valid Florida driver’s license.
- Be able to work weekends as required.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law.
- Demonstrate high integrity, professionalism, and ethical judgment.
- Have knowledge of public safety and security procedures.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Be able to respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies and remain alert throughout assigned shifts.
- Be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varied schedules as required.
- Be able to perform work consistent with the physical, cognitive, and operational demands of the role.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar public safety role.
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and security services according to site-specific policies, procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Monitor and patrol premises to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or other unsafe activities.
- Check in and verify residents and guests attempting to gain property access.
- Call residents to verify guest authorization when required.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies or security incidents.
- Interact courteously and professionally with clients, guests, and employees.
- Help ensure a welcoming and secure environment for visitors.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on incidents, irregularities, or unusual occurrences.
- Maintain records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
