About The Position

The Security Guard protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. The role also serves as a helpful professional resource while ensuring people on the property follow safety protocols. This is a full-time position at a site in Spokane Valley, Washington, paying $18.48 per hour. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m., and Monday, 6 p.m.–6 a.m.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
Above-average computer and technology skills.
Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
Must remain calm under pressure and vigilant throughout the shift.
Must respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
Strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
Must be willing to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Prior security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
Complete daily activity and incident reports.
Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
Perform access control at security entrances and exits.
Conduct regular patrols of premises, including buildings, parking lots, and entry points, to identify potential security risks.
Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
