About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Durham, North Carolina. The role involves routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, documenting observations, and responding professionally to security concerns. Officers provide customer service and follow site-specific procedures and policies. The posted pay rate is $21.84 per hour, with scheduled shifts Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries.
Monitor access activity and verify credentials according to site requirements; report suspicious activity, access concerns, and policy violations.
Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.
